I thought I would talk about this after making some explanatory videos about each political party, but in the previous explanatory video, there was already a comment that I went to vote early. So I decided to quickly make a story about the parties I recommend. Of course, you are free to choose which political party you want to vote for. It’s up to each person to make the decision. If there are 100 people, 100 people have different ways of thinking, so it’s up to you which political party to vote for. However, I would like to ask you to wait a moment. If you don’t know which party to vote for, or if you don’t feel like voting because no matter which party you vote for, Japan won’t get better , I would like you to reconsider and go vote. It is already a common theory that when voter turnout falls, political parties with a high existing organization rate will have an advantage, and no one can overturn that. Basically, the more people vote, the closer it will be to reality. Now, let me announce my recommendation ranking. Please note that this is a current ranking and that as time passes, the rankings will of course change. Let’s start with the first place announcement. The first place is the new party “Team Mirai”. Team Mirai is a new party that was just launched for this House of Councilors election. However, its leader, Takahiro Yasuno, is very well known in the Tokyo area because he ran in the Tokyo gubernatorial election . However, nationwide, his name recognition is not yet sufficient. In the Tokyo gubernatorial election, the discussion was often on the axis of opposition , such as whether to continue Yuriko Koike’s administration or to oppose it, but Yasuno appealed to how to improve the administration using the power of software . Although the party leader, Takahiro Yasuno, calls himself an AI engineer, in reality, it would be better to think of him as an entrepreneur or writer who is knowledgeable about programming. He emphasizes that AI as a tool has become very advanced, and that making full use of it will be beneficial to Japan. Let me give you an easy-to-understand example. If even one member of Team Mirai becomes a member of the Diet, it will have a positive impact on the Japanese government and administration, and will generate real benefits. How will this be achieved? Each Diet member will receive about 150 million yen in party subsidies. For a normal political party, this money will be used mainly for daily party activities to increase their supporters. Takahiro Yasuno says that instead of using this money for himself, he wants to gather engineers and programmers to create a team, create software and apps, and encourage Japan’s 1,700 local governments to take action, even if only a little , in order to achieve administrative efficiency. It is thought that with 150 million yen, you can gather only about 10 programmers, but some people may wonder what you can do with that amount. This is exactly where the ideas of how to utilize the development of AI come in. Currently, many people are paying attention to the development of generative AI for creating images and videos . However, while it is mainly used for entertainment, in terms of utilizing it in the workplace, there is now an evolution of AI called coding AI that is greatly advancing software development. The level of generative AI is steadily increasing, and it is said that even at Google, where top programmers gather, it has already reached a standard level or higher. At present, it is considered that those who are called genius-class programmers among the programmers gathered from all over the world are in a class of their own, but it is even said that in a few years, coding by AI may become much faster. Takahiro Yasuno says that by bringing the current trends of the industry into the political world, even if it produces just one Diet member, it can bring about a big change in Japanese politics. And before we talk about what happens if such a member passes the election, he already has a track record. That is broad listening. By using the power of software and the power of positive generation AI, opinions can be collected from many people and compiled, which will have a greater impact on politics. If it was just about collecting voices, it has been done in the past. However, it took a lot of manpower, and if you add in the analysis of what topics and what opinions are being collected, it takes manpower and time. However, by using the power of software, it is now possible to collect such opinions without manpower. They do not only use such mechanisms themselves, but also make them widely available and encourage existing political parties to adopt them. The Democratic Party for the People and the Constitutional Democratic Party have already decided to adopt this broad listening method, and there is a possibility that it will continue to spread. Also, there are cases where the use of it in the private sector has already begun, but has no connection to politics at all. Many Diet members are still unfamiliar with digital devices, and many reject them beyond the level of unfamiliarity. For example, paper documents are used very often in the Diet. A large amount of tax money is spent on printing and disposing of them. If we try to stop using paper and promote paperless and adopt digital devices, we are rejected for an incomprehensible reason that using tablet devices in the Diet is not dignified . If we want to incorporate current technology, we must send people from a generation that is more adept at using it to the Diet. In the case of Team Mirai, the average age of the people running is 35 years old, and in that sense, they are members who will have a great influence on the rejuvenation of the political world. However, if you listen to the story so far, you might think that it’s just like AI AI and that we’re only pushing the technology side. However, this is only about how to use tools well, and the purpose is not to use the tools themselves. Basically, we’re just saying that we should use effective tools to improve Japan and make the most of them. So what is Team Mirai aiming for? In the end, it’s a very conventional idea to rebuild Japan, improve the economy, and improve people’s lives. To achieve this, we need to constantly update outdated administrative systems, and in the midst of a worsening labor shortage, we need to utilize new technology to We will maintain society so that fewer people can do more. Then, on top of that, we will eliminate waste, make laws, and use our surplus power to invest in the future. We are trying to create a system to create such a next generation. This idea of ​​creating a new system is also reflected in Team Mirai’s manifesto. This is because we have adopted a policy of gradually updating the manifesto itself as we gather opinions from many people and debate them . In the case of existing political parties, the policy collection that was formed before the election is basically not changed, no matter how much voices there are around. In the case of Team Mirai, we are not afraid of change, and we have adopted a policy of gradually incorporating things that we think are better . Some people may think negatively that they should not put forward their ideas in an incomplete state. In Japan, there is a tendency to thoroughly criticize things that fail, and some people may be uncomfortable seeing Team Mirai’s rough, rough drafts . However, when you talk about creating something perfect, in reality, it takes a lot of time and money, and in reality, it does not actually produce very good results. If anything, it’s more like Google, and once a draft is ready to a certain extent, they start releasing it as a service, and then update it one by one, changing, changing, changing, changing, how many times will they change? They provide services on the premise that changes will never end. By incorporating such endless updates from the start, even if the beginning is insufficient, they aim to always update it to something better in the end . By the way, some people may want to point out that there is already a Digital Agency within the government , and talk of incorporating such new technologies is happening. However, there is one big problem with this. Although the Digital Agency is working hard to advance things like the digitalization of the Japanese government, its power is insufficient. Unfortunately, when you work within the framework of the administration, you are inevitably pulled by old customs, and it is difficult to do work that breaks through. For example, when the government wants to start a new service, let’s say it wants to create an app. Currently, it is not possible to create that app with just the programmers in the Digital Agency, and they often have to outsource it. When placing an order for the first time, the specifications are fully prepared, but the large company that receives and develops it throws it to a subcontractor, who then subcontracts to a sub-subcontractor, a sub-sub-subcontractor, and so on, and in this multi-layered structure, each company in between receives a profit, and the people who actually work at the end are left thinking, “Are they really making something like this with such a small budget?”, and the finished product can end up being very cheap. Moreover, if you try to make changes to something that has already been completed, the game of telephone begins again. From the main contractor to the subcontractor, from the subcontractor to the sub-subcontractor, and then the people who actually work on it , even if the finished product finally comes back to the Digital Agency, as the game of telephone continues, the true intention is not conveyed properly, and the order is placed again in the same way. If this is repeated over and over, no progress will be made on the problems and improvements, and time and budget will be wasted. That is why if as many members of Team Mirai as possible win the House of Councillors election, there will be more people in the Diet who are knowledgeable about technology, and there will be more opportunities to be involved in system design, and it will also lead to providing apps and software development to local governments , so the Digital Agency will be able to move much more freely than the Digital Agency. What we ultimately want to do is to generate and invest money for the growth of Japan. The important thing is that even if we are a minority party, if we can get even one seat, Team Mirai can use that as a basis to start having a definite positive impact on the country and local governments. This is what makes us completely different from other minority parties. Because with other parties, Basically, political party subsidies are used to expand their influence, and the idea is to increase the number of seats in the Diet, which will eventually lead to pursuing the government and creating new bills, because it takes time to actually bring about change in reality. That is why I ranked Team Mirai No. 1 in the recommendation ranking. It is not that they cannot change anything unless they become the ruling party, but even if they only have one seat, they will begin to have influence on Japan. If they increase their number of seats, I hope that they will reduce the sense of rejection of technology in the Diet, even if only a little , and that things that should be taken for granted will truly be able to be made in the Diet . Now, let’s talk about the second place in the recommendation ranking. The second place in the recommendation ranking is the Democratic Party for the People. I have made several videos about the Democratic Party for the People recently, but they were basically videos in which I criticize the selection of Shiori Yamao and Genki Sudo as candidates for the House of Councillors election . I would like you to understand again after watching this video that I am mainly talking about the problems with these two people, and I am not criticizing the policies of the Democratic Party for the People. I agree with the Democratic Party for the People’s proposal that in order to “increase the take-home income of the working generation,” deductions should be properly established and taxes should be reduced to a certain extent , and I also think that this political stance of seeking solutions rather than confrontation is very important. I have a very harsh opinion of the Constitutional Democratic Party, the largest opposition party , and do not think it is worth voting for at all. Although the Constitutional Democratic Party has been the largest opposition party for a long time , I think it is a hopelessly unnecessary party that basically holds people back, criticizes, holds quiz competitions in the Diet, and makes me wonder if they are stupid. For example, in opinion polls, we often hear questions about whether the Constitutional Democratic Party would be better if a government led by a party other than the LDP were to be formed . I think that the LDP has many problems, but I think that a government led by the Constitutional Democratic Party would be terrible. I would like the Democratic Party for the People to become the largest opposition party and turn the battles in the Diet into policy debates. However, today’s politics is all about redistribution, that is, how to share a limited pie, and there is no talk of how to make the pie bigger or grow. Of course, redistribution is important. However , in the current situation in Japan, no matter how perfect the redistribution, if our wealth continues to decrease, we will not be able to continue, and our anxiety will not disappear. That is why we, Team Mirai, have recently founded a new party , thinking that we need a new party that thinks about the future . Thank you. When we founded the new party, we received a lot of criticism , for example, from political commentators and people who are knowledgeable about elections . The criticism was, ` `Team Mirai, you are no good at all. Because you have not created a virtual enemy. If you do not create an enemy, you cannot incite division. If you do not incite division, you will not get any votes. Team Mirai, please create more enemies. ” Many people have said this to me. However, I think that is wrong. It’s about not underestimating the voters. I believe that we voters have the ability to look carefully at the content and determine who we should vote for. When I ran for the Tokyo gubernatorial election last year, I was a complete unknown. From that complete unknown state, and the situation where I was not covered at all by television or newspapers, I was able to receive 150,000 votes in just one month. This figure of 150,000 votes is the highest vote rate for a candidate in their 30s in the past Tokyo gubernatorial elections, and it is also the largest number of votes ever received by a truly independent candidate with no political experience or support from a political party . The reason why this was possible is because you voters have the ability to discern, to discern for yourself. That is why we at Team Mirai would like to establish and appeal to policies in a fair and straightforward manner, without inciting division or denigrating the other party . Thank you. At that time, other political parties are calling for a reduction in consumption tax and income tax, but what we want to focus on the most is the reduction of social insurance premiums. As you may know, social insurance premiums are actually the biggest burden for the working generation. For example, if a household earns about 3 million yen a year, the income tax is about 7%. And the consumption tax is about 10% of the amount spent. However, social insurance premiums are 30%. If the income is 3 million yen, 900,000 yen is paid by the individual and the company in half. Compared to the income tax of 7% and the consumption tax of 10%, the social insurance premium of 30% is very large. That is why we will firmly push down these social insurance premiums, which have been rising for the past 20 years, now that tax revenues are increasing. I think this is the most effective measure. Now that stockpiles of rice have been released, the situation is slightly better, but what we think is the biggest issue is that we still don’t know why the price of rice has risen so much . It has been more than a year since it actually started to become a problem. And yet, neither the government nor the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has been able to grasp the exact reason why the price has risen so much . What I mean is that the crop index, or the harvest yield, last year’s figures are not bad. In fact, in terms of harvest yields, the harvest was even higher than two years ago. And our demand will not suddenly increase. There is no way that Japanese people will suddenly be eating twice as much rice. So, even though the harvest is being produced and the demand is the same, the price of rice has somehow doubled. In order to understand what the biggest challenge of this problem is, we are proposing to create a proper system and use digital technology to make it possible to clearly see where and how much rice is there . Some of you may ask, “Is that even possible?” In fact, there is already a law called the Rice Traceability Act, which requires wholesalers and retailers to keep proper records of where and how much rice is coming from, but there is one problem: these records are done on paper. We need to create a system here to properly visualize the rice, where the rice is, whether there is something serious enough to cause panic, whether someone is harassing us, and so on. If you think about it a little further, the metabolism of politicians has become weaker and weaker, and the world of politicians and the world of people working in private companies have become separated. We feel that this is a very big problem. Our team Mirai members are 35 years old on average, and many of them have gained various experiences in private companies. That’s why we believe that we can help solve various social problems using digital technology that is commonly used in private companies . What are some specific examples? For example, we would like to solve the problem of politics and money. You may ask if we can do that, but we believe that we can solve the problem of politics and money by using digital technology that is commonly used in the private sector . What is that? It’s a service like a cloud accounting service. What kind of service is this? It is a tool that links your bank account or credit card to the system in the background, and when you spend money or when money comes in, it makes money visible in real time, in a way that makes it impossible to lie , and makes it possible to see where and how much was spent . If politicians use this properly and make the dashboard public to voters, they will no longer be able to lie about the problem of politics and money. That is why we believe that we can solve this problem of politics and money with the power of technology, with an approach that has never been seen before. Specifically, we are actually working on solving this problem and moving forward with it by getting our hands dirty. There is something called a political party subsidy, and if a party meets the requirements to be a national political party, about 150 million yen a year, with a minimum of 150 million yen, is paid to each political party. Other political parties often use it as funds for election campaigns, but we want to use it to create an engineering team in Nagatacho. By doing this, we think we can create a team of about 10 engineer researchers. When you hear 10 people, you might think it’s a small number, but in the current software development field, a fairly small number of small teams are boosted by AI, and recent AI companies, such as new unicorns like Cursor and Devin, are all run by teams of 10 or 20 people. Now , in 2025, if you gather 10 software engineers, you can actually produce a considerable amount of horsepower. With AI? Furthermore, we want to make this all open source, so if it were an ordinary elite company, if there were 10 people, they would have to complete the development within those 10 people, but because this is open, people who are concerned about the issue can create a community from all over Japan, a developer community, an open source community, so for example, even if only one person is elected, a core team of 10 people will be created, and a larger community will be created outside of that. I see , this is a question that is often asked, and it may become a question in the future, but why the legislative branch and not the executive branch? The idea was that it would be fine to join the Digital Agency in a suitable position, but did you choose to join the legislative branch and create a team with a political party subsidy? This is exactly related to what I said earlier, and I think that if we continue with the current method, we will not be able to create digital public goods software, which is highly uncertain . I think that if we plan everything in advance, decide on a contractor, place an order, and conduct training , it will be impossible to move flexibly. Rather, isn’t it necessary to have software like this now? If we say we need this kind of algorithm, we can make a prototype in about three days, and then we can discuss what specifications would be best while looking at the actual prototype.
