19年前の25日、JR福知山線の電車が脱線し、マンションに衝突。乗客106人と運転士が死亡し、562人が重軽傷を負いました。
事故が起きた午前9時18分の少し前、電車がゆっくりと通りすぎ、多くの人が手を合わせました。
先ほどまで行われていた追悼慰霊式には、309人が参加しました。
妻の節香さんを亡くす 西野道晴さん「忘れることはないんですけど、1年でも長くこの世にいて見守っていきたいと思っているんですけど」
当時2両目で負傷 土田佐美さん「安全・安全って掲げているだけでは何も進まないだろうな。動きや働きかけを怠らずにしていっていただきたいと強く思います」
19年が経ち、遺族の中には、高齢のため、ことしの式典への参列を辞退した方もいます。
当時を知らない世代も増える中、きょうという日は、電車を利用するすべての人が「安全」について考える日でありたいと思います。
