Storm Hon is now far away from Japan, but Storm Nqui is approaching while people in Hatachi are still cleaning up. The severe damage caused by Halon is still affecting Hachi Island south of Tokyo. A hotel roof was blown off. Staff are busy cleaning up, resulting in the cancellation of bookings for 200 people. Thousand of power outages have caused water outages. Five of the seven water treatment plants are out of service. Record rainfall has also caused a landslide. The storm is expected to approach Okinawa and Amami on Saturday and then hit the Isu Islands from Sunday to Monday with gust of over 160 km per hour. In addition, up to 120 mm of rain is possible by Sunday noon and then another 200 mm by Monday noon.
