Traditional Chinese medicine is a treasure of the Chinese nation. Vietnamese doctor Hoang Thi Phong Lan completed her undergraduate and master’s studies at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. When she practiced medicine in Vietnam, she integrated the traditional Chinese medicine into disease diagnosis and treatment. The remarkable efficacy gave local doctors and patients a fresh understanding of the traditional Chinese medicine.
Hoang Thi Phong Lan found that in the treatment of acute cerebral stroke in Vietnam, the early treatment with the traditional Chinese medicine, especially acupuncture intervention, is a little-known option. So last year, she came to Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine again to study for a doctorate in Acupuncture and Massage.
