Amazon Prime Video チャンネル上の動画配信サービス「スターチャンネルEX」では、イギリスで1964年から4,500話以上に渡って放送され、全盛期は約1,500万人の視聴者を誇った伝説の連続テレビドラマ（ソープオペラ）『クロスローズ』の主役として、お茶の間で最も愛された女優“ノリー”を襲った突然の理不尽な降板劇のてん末を描く伝記ドラマ『ＮＯＬＬＹ ソープオペラの女王』が独占日本初配信中！「BS10スターチャンネル」では１月８日（祝・月）23時から独占初放送がスタート。さらに新年1月3日（水）12:30より第1話の先行無料放送が決定している。
ノリーを演じるのは英国を代表する演技派、ヘレナ・ボナム・カーター。脚本・製作総指揮を務めるのは『IT‘S A SIN 哀しみの天使たち』『ドクター・フー』のラッセル・T・デイヴィス。約18年間主演を務めた人気ドラマを突然解雇された大スターの波乱万丈の人生を描いた秀逸な脚本とヘレナ・ボナム・カーターの熱演が絶賛され、本年度のロイヤル・テレビジョン・ソサエティ・ノースウエスト賞では4部門（最優秀ドラマ賞、最優秀パフォーマンス賞、最優秀脚本賞、最優秀ビジュアル・ポストプロダクション賞）を受賞。英国アカデミー賞（BAFTA）ウェールズでも脚本賞を受賞し、賞レースを賑わせている。
