▼ About GeneTune
GeneTune is a powerful FM chiptune DAW built around the legendary YM2612 FM and SN76489 PSG sound chips that defined the sound of the 16-bit era.
Compose with a hardware-inspired 10-track piano roll, design your own 4-operator FM instruments, record with external MIDI keyboards, and even import VGM/VGZ files to study, edit, and rebuild classic-style chip music note by note.
Create punchy FM basses, metallic leads, bright PSG melodies, noise percussion, and custom DAC samples—all directly on your iPhone or iPad. When your track is finished, export it as hardware-compatible VGM or high-quality 44.1 kHz WAV.
Whether you’re making music for a retro-inspired game, producing authentic chiptune, exploring FM synthesis, or learning how 16-bit sound hardware really works, GeneTune puts the sound chip itself in your hands.
