    Thankyou for sharing
    Arigato gozaimasu 🙏🥰

  3. I love the opening & ending songs. It’s lovely to hear the boatman songs while watching the beautiful scenery. What an amazing historical buildings & garden. Everything in this video, even the ryokan room is wonderful

  4. Thank you for sharing this location 🙂

    I love places line this!😍

    Greetings from germany

  5. Punting down that lovely canal whilst being serenaded was just so romantic but that
western building was too much Like " The Shining " lol .

  6. My grandmother was from Kyushu, I’m Japanese American. When I was little, she would sing 上を向いて歩こう to me while we did chores together. She passed sway 10 years ago. The ending of this video brought me to tears. I am a long time viewer of your channel, but I think this is my favorite video yet. Thank you so much for sharing your travels, and for the memory of my grandmother

I have been watching your videos for the past few months. I must say, I really enjoyed them and this one is no exception. I hope I will visit Japan someday.

  9. I just imagine bathing in a mandarin juice bath ;-). That would be quite sticky and sweet. I think I will continue to prefer bathing in mineral water in Japan.

  10. I have a question: what do you call the "jacket" that the male staff is wearing who showed you the room ? Is it a yukata, even though its not closed as it is usually is ?

  12. I love the song he sings'
    'it's all because of you
    I'm feeling sad & blue
    you went away
& now my life is filled with rainy days
    but I love you so
    how much you never know
~you took your love away from me"

  15. It's interesting to stay here. But it's better to visit in spring & summer when it rarely rains so you can have breakfast while boating. So after arriving at the inn without boating, you can use it to explore the museum & old buildings next to it so that the horror atmosphere is not so pronounced. I think that's a more practical plan. Thank you.

  16. What a charming town! I love it! And that gentleman who poles the barge is a very soothing singer. I could listen to him for hours.

The whole ryokan has a refined, but not stuffy ambiance. It's very attractive to me.

  18. !!!! What is the last song the boatman is singing at the end?? My grandmother had a music box that played that tune. I don't know what it is; my Dad was stationed in Japan and I visited once when I was very small, but I loved that music box of my grandmother's. I don't know what happened to it but I'll never forget that tune.
